Honoring One of our Own, Jan 14th, 2016

Dennis Lee Clinton

There will be a Military Graveside Service to honor Dennis Clinton. It will take place at the Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin on Thursday, January 14th.

Attendees are asked to line up in their vehicles as they arrive. A vehicle procession will be led by mortuary staff at 10:45 AM.

From the Bakersfield Metro Area: Take CA-58 east toward Tehachapi/Mojave. Travel 22.6 miles on CA-58 E then make a right onto CA-223/East Bear Mountain Boulevard toward Arvin. Bakersfield National Cemetery will be on the right after approximately ½ a mile.

From the East (Mojave/Palmdale Areas): Take CA-58 west toward Bakersfield. Turn left onto CA-223/East Bear Mountain Boulevard going toward Arvin. Bakersfield National Cemetery will be on the right after approximately ½ mile.

Reception to follow at the Arvin Calvary Baptist Church hall, 501 Franklin Street in Arvin.

Side dishes, desserts and appetizers are welcome at the reception. The hall will be open prior to the service if anyone wishes to drop items off early.

Dennis Clinton was a member of the Kern County Sheriff’s Department for 21 years. He is survived by his wife, three sons, mother and 10 grandchildren.
